KIDS ROCK VOLUNTEERS
Kids Rock is looking for people who are passionate about Jesus to serve our children. Come and tell young children the Good News of Jesus, teach them how to pray, worship and share together in God’s love. We are always looking for teachers, assistants, Nursery workers, and toy cleaners. Contact Emma Bergen
Are you passionate about walking with, encouraging, and equipping this generation to love Jesus with their whole lives? God is doing something incredible in this generation of youth and we need you to be part of that! We are looking for couples who have the heart to walk with other couples as they look to renew, enrich or prepare for marriage. Training is provided. If you are gifted relationally and experience a healthy marriage and are interested in walking with other couples through the experience of marriage . Contact Bonner Wolf.
COMMUNITY GROUP LEADERS
We believe community is essential and fundamental to a growing disciple of Jesus. This can best take place as you are known, accepted, loved and challenged in a small group setting. We are always looking for people to act as Small Group Leaders. Contact Bonner Wolf.
COMMUNITY GROUP HOSTS
Do you love to have people over and/or open up your home? Do you have the gift of hospitality? You may want to serve as a Small Group Host. Contact Bonner Wolf.
SOUP & THE SPIRIT HOSTS
If you have space for 30-40 young adults in your home and live relatively close to the church (MEI), you would be a great candidate for hosting! Our hosts take on Soup and the Spirit – providing soup (usually two or three large pots) and we do the rest. Hosts are encouraged to eat with the group as well as join in for the Spirit discussion afterward. We only need hosts to take on a Sunday once every 6-8 weeks. Contact Mike Fornwald.
SOUP & THE SPIRIT LEADERS
We would love one or two more couples join us in leading Soup & The Spirit. Leaders would be available twice a month to attend Soup and the Spirit as well as lead the discussion or do some short teaching. These people would have a heart to connect deeper with this age group and would give our regular leaders a break from time to time. Contact Mike Fornwald.
YOUNG ADULT MENTORS
There is a longing in the lives of Young Adults for mentoring and discipleship. We are in need of older couples and singles who would be willing to invest what God has shown, given and poured into them. Contact Mike Fornwald.
Join the team that prays for those people who respond to the call for prayer and/or to receive Jesus at our weekend Worship services. (must meet specific requirements to serve). You must be a committed member/attendee of a small group and be released by your small group leader to be a member of the Weekend Services Prayer Team. Contact Brian Falls.
WORSHIP & CREATIVE ARTS
Worship is the DNA of the Vineyard movement and we are always looking for those who feel called to the ministry of worship and the creative arts. If you are interested in being part of the worship ministry, please complete a worship application. Your information will be carefully reviewed and you will be contacted by our Worship staff.
CREATIVE ARTS TEAM
Calling all digital designers, Set Designers, Decorators, Film makers, Video editors, Graphic artists, Designers, Dancers, Painters… we are fostering a creative community that encourages artists who work in many different mediums to actively participate with their art during our times of worship. We are looking for committed people to run the Power point presentations and video projection on Sunday mornings and at our monthly Worship & Prayer Gatherings. Training is provided. Contact Jason Jantzen for more info.
DECOR & DESIGN TEAM
Several times during the year we like to change the décor and atmosphere of where we worship through the use of fabric, lighting, visual effects, flowers, and other design. Contact Tracy Rahn.
Do you have an ear for music and sound? We can always use some people to help out in our sound department. Our sound technicians usually service once a month during our weekend services. Contact Jason Jantzen for more info.
We have a small team that leads the Alpha Course and other biblical based courses at Matsqui Institution and a team of women who lead Alpha at Pacific Institution. For more info, Contact John Apperloo
Our Free!Style team can always use some extra hands! We have a team of people that sorts through clothing donations, stocks the Free!Style trailer, plans outreach events, and goes out into the community to share the love of Jesus by providing brand new clothing and a delicious meal. We are building a dynamic team of volunteers who are excited about helping others with their finances. Come join us! Counsel and help teach people who are struggling with their finances, or who want to expand their knowledge in a variety of areas. You can volunteer by leading financial Bible studies, business classes, education workshops or by becoming a financial coach. Contact Gary Stephens.
We are looking for people to offer a warm greeting and a friendly welcome to people as they enter the service on Sunday mornings. Greet attendees as they arrive for the worship service, provide information assistance as needed and help people find seats. Contact Leslie Canaday.
Our hospitality team members come a little early on Sunday mornings to prepare coffee and tea. Want to help out and provide hot beverages for the congregation’s coffee break? Training is provided. Each person is scheduled once a month. Contact Michael Schmidt.
SPECIAL EVENTS PLANNING
We host several special events (corn maze, barbecues, church picnics, hockey tournaments, etc) throughout the year and can always use some help with set up and/or planning. Contact Lisa Stephens.
We have a warm group of people building relationship and bringing the hope of Jesus at George Schmidt Center for men, and Peardonville House and Solace House for women. Many of the women also attend morning worship services at AVC.

We are looking for people to prepare communion for our worship services. This involves coming about 45 minutes early 7 or 8 times a year, buying the bread and juice (you will be reimbursed) and preparing the plates and trays and setting them out on the communion tables. After the services you will do a quick tidy up of everything.Contact Leslie Canaday.
DRIVER WITH TRUCK
You’d be amazed at how often we need somebody with a big ol’ truck to transport things to and from the warehouse, MEI and Freestyle venues. For example, whenever we have a baptism we need someone to move the tank from our storage location to the gym. If you have a desire to “help out” and you have a truck with a hitch, we really need you!Contact Leslie Canaday.
