Prisoner of Dirt
God of the universe and God of my soul--
You who created all things including my spirit
Bless me, I pray, for I am a dualistic creature.
I am like your Spirit-ethereal, free, and full of love,
Yet, the dust and dirt of this earth remind me of my humble beginning
And like Adam, though I know what is right, I choose wrong.
Forgive me for my failing, you, my father.
Forgive me my arrogance, my pride, my indifference to others.
My tongue, that weapon of pride, slashes others with impunity,
Flesh no man has tamed, hurts feelings and
demolishes spirits it should uplift.
Tame the untamable for me and set me free from the oppressor I am.

I was given a Bible today.
I am told it tells of the God of Love.
I am told it tells of miracles.

I cannot read.

Jesus!
"Jesus! Do you kiss your mamma with that mouth?"
"Poor Mary! How can she stand His blasphemy?"
He spoke to a woman, A Samaritan to boot."
"He bffled with parables. Can't He speak plainly?"
"Forgave sins? Who does he think He is?"

Fish and Bread
Fish and Bread
Yes, fish and bread.
Pass it around, pass it around.
There are so many.
Yes! Fish and bread.
Pass it around, pass it aroud.
The basket is bottomless.
Yes, Fish and bread.
Pass it around, pass it around.
Yes, fish and bread.
Pass it around, pass it around.
There are so many.
Yes! Fish and bread.
Pass it around, pass it aroud.

Psalm 46:1-2
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
though the earth give way and the mountains
fall into the heart of the sea.
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
though the earth give way and the mountains
fall into the heart of the sea.

I Called Out...
I called out to You, Abba Father, and You joined me.
Right by my side, You comforted me.
My tears, my groans, my inadequacy sent me to You
And You heard my plea.
You answered my prayers,
with immeasurably more than I could have imagined
And I am grateful that I have chosen to lean on You for my well-being.
You never leave my side,
Nor stop inviting me to bring my needs to You.
How precious this gift,
How priceless a treasure; this Divine connection.
I love You.

Lord...
Lord, too long have your enemies,
Run rampant through our country and world.
I ask that you bring them up short, cause them to stumble and fall.
The enemies of your people Israel are emboldened and breathe out cursings against Jerusalem and the land of Israel.
May you shatter their arms and scatter their teeth like stones.
May they be brought low and made to realize the error of their ways.
May those who stand against them be strong, vigorous
And filled with zeal.
Set the captives free, and bring them home
With rejoicing and celebration.
May the world know that the God of Israel is strong
And will act against those that oppose Him.
May the righteous laugh in the face of evil and false gods.
